Northrop Grumman Foundation's Earthwatch Educator Program Now Accepting Applications The Northrop Grumman Foundation partnered with Earthwatch Institute last year to develop two expeditions that provide educators with a hands-on professional development opportunity, which will ultimately impact students' math and science education and help create the next generation of environmental ambassadors. Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program Seeks Applicants
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2010-2011 Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship. The program seeks teachers who have a strong background of teaching success coupled with a strong interest in education policy. Fellows will receive living, moving and traveling stipends while spending a school year in Washington, DC. The Program was enacted by Congress and is funded by the Department of Energy Office of Science, with participation from federal agencies. NASA is making available a free Web-based educational product to learners of all ages across the country. NASA eClips consists of more than 55 short, 5-10 minute video segments. NASA eClips features many of the agency's missions and engages students in the excitement of science and engineering. The goal of NASA eClips is to inspire students to learn more about science and math concepts.
The Sloan Career Cornerstone Center (SCCC) is a resource for anyone interested in exploring career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing. It is broadly used by career counselors, teachers, and others who provide guidance to middle and high school students about career paths in STEM.
