Susan spent 20 years in the corporate world and found an interest in becoming a teacher when she saw the lack of skills of her own employees. She sought and won a scholarship for a Master's degree in education and left the business world for the classroom. For the last 14 years, she has served her school community by writing curricula, conducting seminars on teaching strategies, and holding numerous leadership positions. She is now language arts department chair at Crofton Middle School and a National Board Certified Teacher, Susan models lifelong learning for her students.
