As an algebra teacher, Andrew provides his students with rigorous, "hands-on" instruction. He graduated with honors from Salisbury University and now participates as a county and national staff development presenter. He currently serves on his school system's Mathematics Reform Committee and writes county assessments aligned with the Maryland Standards for grades six through eight. For both 2003 and 2004, one hundred percent of Andrew's eighth grade algebra students performed proficient or higher on the Maryland High School Algebra Assessment.
