The Maryland State Department of Education’s Traumatic Brain Injury/Sports Related Concussion-Task Force will hold a public hearing on October 29, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the State Board room at 200 W. Baltimore St., Baltimore.

The purpose of the hearing is to gather information and testimony from interested citizens on Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussions in interscholastic athletes in Maryland Public Schools.  Topics of interest may include best practices for recognizing concussion signs and symptoms, removal and return to play, parent, coach and student awareness, protective equipment and prevention strategies.
